Christine McCuen, MD is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who joined Greensboro Ophthalmology Associates in 2006 and is still thrilled to call Greensboro home. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Villanova University. She fell in love with ophthalmology the first time she observed cataract surgery as a University of Pittsburgh medical student. After three years of residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she knew she wanted to settle permanently in North Carolina.
Dr. McCuen performs cataract surgery, various eyelid and ophthalmic laser procedures, and Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments to the face and eyelids. She has a special affinity for the geriatric population and sees patients at two retirement communities once a month. She loves being physically active and will squeeze in a quick walk or body pump class whenever possible. She lives with two lovely step-daughters, a rescue dog, and an amazing husband who keeps the household afloat so she can focus on eyeballs.
